Default FAA Class I medical

I'm thinking of getting my class 1 medical. What are the some of the things doctor looking for? I have class II now.

Not much difference between the two, except you may need an EKG depending on your age.

Yeah very few professionals actually request a 2nd. Class , most just get a 1st. Class regardless.

The 2nd class is effectively a "consolation prize" for those few folks who can't quite hold a 1st class. Allows them to still fly as FO's.

For the EKG, you need one on your first medical after age 35, then you get one each year after age 40.

Once a year, so every other medical if you're a CA.
