Default Good AME Sought in Louisville, KY Area

I mentor a young man who lives about 30 miles south of SDF. While his dream is to become an airline pilot, his vision is somewhat on the not-so-good side, but it is correctable to 20/20. He is very wise for his age and he's very much a realist. Also, his eyes are open to the current realities in the world of aviation. Before spending a large sum of money on flight training only to later learn he may have physical problems, he has wisely decided to get a thorough class I flight physical before undergoing any additional flight training.

Can anyone recommend a good AME in the Louisville area for this young man? While he doesn't want an anti-pilot AME, he also isn't looking for a santa claus either. Instead he would like someone who's been in the business a while who would give him a fair and honest assessment of his chances for passing and successfully holding a class I physical long-term.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info Lucas. I was hoping to find a doctor whom someone on this board could personally vouch for.

Thanks again

no problem. also when you are looking for an AME, call around. unless you need the exam done asap, get the cheapest doctor you can find. i've had exams range from $90-$145.
