Unhappy Avoid Pilot Medical Solutions, Inc. (www.leftseat.com)

This company is an absolute ripoff. Once they get your $800.00 retainer, they are impossible to deal with. They will not return calls, emails, or in any way answer the most basic questions. They have an "unacceptable" rating with the Oklahoma City Better Business Bureau (a fact that, sadly, I found out too late, post-$800.00 retainer), due mainly for their refusal to address several customer complaints. They may have been a good company at one time, but as of this date are understaffed and over-burdened with a case load they obviously can't handle. If you are considering using their services, be prepared to become extremely frustrated by this incompetent company. Their incompetence has unnecessarily delayed my medical recertification by at least 2 months. Please contact me before considering this company to help you with any medical recertification issue.

Based on my experience with another company, $800 is a ridiculously high retainer.

So, is there a company one of you would recommend? I can use ALPA Aeromedical but they told me they're backed up 4-6 weeks and was hoping to have things sorted out sooner. Thanks.

Thanks, I think i'm going to use ALPA. I was trying to find a service to expedite things a little bit but I think that idea is just too good to be true. ALPA tells me the FAA is backed up about 4-6 weeks right now.

I found a good doctor over on the jetcareers forums. Go to myflightsurgeon.com. Dr. Forred is more than willing to talk on the phone and even looked over some paperwork for me and suggested a course of action I take with my local AME and didn't charge me a cent. He also answers a lot of questions over at JC if you want to post a question to him online.

THERE ARE TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY

I am David Hale, Executive Director of Pilot Medical Solutions.
I noticed that "BOB HOOVER" and "PIPESTONE10" didn't sign their real names.

Obviously there are organizations which stand to benefit from tarnishing our good reputation. In fact, the post from "PIPESTONE10" and others recommend other organizations.

Pilot Medical Solutions does not have an "unacceptable" rating with the Oklahoma City Better Business Bureau. Check it yourself: Oklahoma City: Home

The post from "Bob Hoover" and "PIPESTONE10" are either bogus or are from someone trying to promote another company or organization.

LEFTSEAT.com (Pilot Medical Solutions) does not have a current, or even a recent client which does not have constant communication via our toll-free phone number or our website and email system.

If this person has a medical history which created obstacles to FAA Medical Certification, this is the REAL problem. Even the simplest of medical conditions can create a significant challenge with FAA Medical certification. Occasionally a pilot will attempt to obtain medical certification when he/she is not qualified. When this occurs they will often provide incomplete information which further complicates the process. If things don't work out, people tend to blame someone else for their medical problem.

You can read posts from some of our many satisfied clients at: FAA Medical Certification / Success Stories.

I welcome any honest questions about the benefits and legitimacy of our service.

I trust that Airline Pilot Central Forums will soon remove these obviously slanderous posts by "Bob Hoover" and "PIPESTONE10".

With respect,
David Hale

While you may not have an unacceptable rating from the BBB, you do have several complaints listed at bbb.org. Granted, all were resolved but the fact remains that four people were upset and frustrated enough to contact the BBB to complain about your services. You are also not accredited by the BBB. Maybe taking the steps to become a BBB accredited organization would help to improve your image. I for one put more stock in that than any testimonial someone puts up on their website. Just my 2 cents.

Default Medical Solutions

Dealt with medical solutions 12 years ago and have talked to several other clients as well. I agree with the previous post. They are in deal misrepresenting themselves. Using the name DR Hales makes one think he is a doctor when he is not. Misleading and deceptive. Claims to be a friend to the OKC FAA Aeromedical doctors Silberman and Carpenter.
