Default Job Fair DCA 8/21

Anyone attending the Airinc Job fair next weekend in DCA? If so, which airlines are you gunning for? Just curious,

TJets

Yep, gonna visit UPS, CAL, SWA, and UAL. This is my first seminar so we'll see how it goes....

I'll be there. Gonna give my resume to just about every regional there. Hoping to walk out of there with a class date. We'll see...

You could very easily get either an interview OR a class date just by going to the Job Fair. When I was furloughed, and before I went to the majors, I attended 7-8 of these Job Fairs, learned alot and it really built my confidence. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an airline/fractional job.

I did hear VirginAmerica dropped out, FYI.

I was attending for the sole purpose to hand in my resume to Virgin America but after they dropped out there was no reason for me to go.

I do wonder why they are not attending any longer?

No clue. It could be they have plenty of apps. Lots of people interviewing there, lots of classes ongoing.

Hey guys I'm getting back into flying after a 5 year hiatus. I attended the job fair in DC. Went up to CAL,UPS,and was summarily told that I need to get current. Even though I have 6120 hours Part 121 time, flown 4 jets, capt on 2,apparently I potentially would be behind the power curve if I was in class. It was reccomended that I go out and get 121 time, and resubmit.Has anybody else had this happen?

Seems pretty standard. Regardless, you are still not current and not legal. I don't see why you need 121 time to become marketable again? Perhaps try to find a 91 job or 135 position. Keep updating your resumes and hope for the best. Best of luck,

tjets
