Default Canada Criminal Rehabilitation

I just heard about this from a buddy of mine at a Regional.

I was arrested and charged for trespassing (Citizens arrest). All charges were later dismissed/dropped because of how ridiculous they were.

I heard that if you have been arrested you cannot fly into Canada even if you were not convicted! Is that true? Has anyone heard anything like this before? This sounds absolutely ridiculous to me as if they are labeling me a criminal for getting arrested even though I was not convicted.
Again, all charges were dropped and I was not convicted. I am going to apply and I know all they can ask is if I have ever been convicted of anything to which the answer is "No". With that said, will this affect me in any way? Any info would be a great help as I am sweating this A LOT!
When all the charges were dropped I thought it was all over but after hearing this from my buddy on the phone a few minutes ago, I am nervous as heck all over again

Last time I entered Canada I was told that would be the last time I would EVER be aloud back into Canada unless I went through the Canadaian "Rehab." By the way, it's somewhere in the neighborhood of $600 and you have to do it every couple of years. Needless to say, I don't go to Canada anymore.

I had a Juvinile conviction......I would think that since the charges were dropped against you it's not on your record therefore you don't have to do the "rehab."

Call an immigration attorney (or Canada's Equivilant or call Canadian Immigration) in Canada, instead of relying on a bunch of pilots on a web forum.

Having said that: 1. you were not convicted, no problem (my opinion). 2. These Canadian laws you're thinking of only relate to felonies, I doubt that trespassing is a felony.

All valid points. I was not convicted therefore I would think it would not affect me in any way. Thanks for the info and any more info would be awesome
