I'm starting the process of preparing for an interview (fingers crossed) and want to get some feedback from guys using Logbook Pro. I searched the forums for advice and noticed a lot of guys have used Kinko’s to print a spiral bound book; this is not an option since I am in the military stationed overseas. I also looked at the binder/paper prices at NCSoftware and laughed out-loud. What are some other options you guys have done that look professional? I would really like to use a binder style setup so it is easy to update over time.

i had the same questions when I switched over to logbook pro, the solution that I came up with was a expandable two post binder. It's not the perfect look that I was going for but I be d**n if I'm going to pay 150 bucks for a leather binder from logbook pro. I haven't had any issues with it at interviews so I guess they don't mind the set up

when everyone talks about getting their logbooks printed and bound or whatever... what do you do about all the signatures for the endorsements and crap?

After you get so many hours and certs signatures and endorsements do not matter.

Mcartier713 - As for the endorsements, I make an entry in the remarks sections for the flight that the sign-off or endorsement is in the back. I, obviously, have an additional page in the back of the logbook that I track the date, activity, and have the instructor actually sign. That page is a running document that will remain in the back of the logbook until I’m done flying. As for events that occurred prior to changing to an electronic logbook I state in the remarks that the sign-off is in original logbook # … . It has worked great with the FAA, I think (hope) it will pass the interview test in the near future.

Keep your original logbook(s) and put those endorsements there.

I just print my logbook from my home ink jet printer using 14x8 1/2 paper, if you want better quality use a laser printer.
I bought a black report cover with fasteners at Office Depot, punched holes on the pages and put the pages together. Is inexpensive and with the right cover looks somewhat professional.
It worked for me at interview time!
