This one has probably been answered, but when do you find out what base you will get? Also, they told me I will find out my plane next week, so do you get the FOM in the mail right after that? Anyways thanks in advance for the answers!

You find out your base in ground school at some point. You get an email confirmation of your groundschool date and aircraft. The FOM comes in the mail via Fedex a few weeks before ground school.

Thanks for the info! One more question, does anyone know if the training department takes off some time around Thanksgiving and Christmas? I just thought we might get lucky and maybe get that time off if they take it off.(wishful thinking!!)

Contractually in training Thanksgiving Christmas and New Years off. After training ie ioe 24/7/366.

How long has it been taking to get calls for interviews after doing the online application? I applied on Monday and am anxiously awaiting a call. One of my best buddies is an F/O there and he has said that HR is quite busy at the moment.

On another note, lets get this thread up to 1000 replies!!

I got the call about a week later and interviewed week after that.

I applied for the CA position at 7pm on thursday and got a call at 2pm on friday. I was pretty shocked. I had a friend that is an FO (and soon to be CA) email my stuff to an HR person he knows, but the HR person only mentioned the online app I filled out, so I'm not sure if his email had an effect.
