Effective on Monday 10-22, when the next class starts, the list will be at 890(+/-), the seniority list that is posted is lacking several classes that have already started.

RJ, how often do they update that thing? And is it really official or is there another list somewhere else?

The computer data base is the official list. Mesaba is required to update the paper copy two times per year. They have been doing it once a month or so just to help people with the vacancy preference bidding. So, yes, the lists that are posted on MyMesaba are "official" although only on the specific date they are printed.

**Subject to Change!**
It is happening. NWA MEC has finalized the side letter to allow the flow. Starts in Jan 2008. Their are a few details still being worked. Deadline is Nov 1. After that, goes to arbitration with decision on Dec 1. So, by January all will be finalized and the flow will commence at 3 per month.

Wow, if your estimate above is correct, Ill have quite a few hundred people beneath me by the time I get to flying the line with what I told you before. BTW, now they're saying we will have to do our orals again, with FAA observing and back in the sim by late November! Sigh...patience is a virtue...

Does anyone know what the $12,000.00 training contract for 12 months means on the APC Mesaba page? Is that for the street captains or for everyone?

Absolutely not. Know what all the lights mean, know what the switches do. Know your memory items. Don't offer too much information in your responses, just answer the question. If you don't know something, stop, say "I don't recall, but I know where to look it up." Just like you would do in the aircraft.

Make sure you can work through a TLR and weight and balance though...otherwise you'll get started on the wrong foot.

Oral questions have a little bit different "feel" to them compared to the systems test questions.

For example:

Under what conditions will the HP Bleed Valve open?

The HP HIGH light is on, what has happened and what could have caused it?

What is the purpose of Bottom Governing?

What does the L STBY PRESS light mean, and what can cause it to come on?

Things like that
