Get a job delivering pizzas...it's what I HAD to do. Been waiting since Aug 8. Couple of guys in my class have been waiting 3-5 weeks since their PC's.

Been waiting since Aug 8th for what? Are you done with the checkride/Loft and waiting for IOE?

WOW! I might have to if I have to wait that long. Who knows maybe the wait will be down by the time I get to that point, if not Ill probably have to take your advice.

Ok I will only ask this one more time, sorry to ask so much. What does everyone recommend for a headset on the saab? I am currently debating between the david clark anr, the bose x, and lightspeed anr. I found a bose x for 750.00 so I am just wondering what I should do. What kind of headsets do they have in the plane? Are they pretty good, or should I get my own?

They are cheap david clark. But I dont carry headsets with me and just use ear plugs provided by mesaba and it does a pretty good job. Although I would love to have anr I have no desire to spend the money or more importantly drag those headsets around and have to worry obout losing them.

If memory serves me correctly FR8DOGG has been waiting to finish up his sims. There are couple from our class waiting on checkrides from Aug.

I wouldn't count on it. Like Mesabah says, enjoy the mini paid vacation.

Yo, there's NO way what anyone has been waiting since August 8th for IOE. There's more to the story. That's almost 3 months. My wait was 8 days, and all guys are about 2-4 weeks. If you're flexible, you can request IOE out of any of the three bases and that can make your IOE assignment faster.

I'd be careful with the attitude that having over a month off between your PC and IOE is a "vacation." Ask the check airmen and they'll say that those are the guys who are way behind the plane because most haven't reviewed the flows and callouts. Just make sure to stay on top of things during that time off. I find that the quicker I learn things (i.e., cramming) the quicker I forget them!

What you posted was accurate for the Saab, but I believe they were referring to the CRJ's, which are currently severely lacking LCA's for IOE. XJ just hired two LCA's on the 200 off the street because there are no current and qualified XJ pilots who want it.

Saab vs. CRJ... two different worlds.

The wait that everyone is speaking of(I assume) is on the Jet. That's why people are getting the time off. Saab guys, no such luck.
