For anyone that knows, I just had a question. In January, I interviewed with Mesaba, with 390/17 (for some reason they offered me an interview) At the completion of the HR/Tech, I was offered a conditional hire, and went on to the sim. Later that week, I received "the letter" stating the were seeking candidates which better seek their qualifications. As my times were fairly low at the time, I chalked it up to low time. Currently I in the continuance of another 6 month purgatory/time building/cfi portion of my aviation career before I can reapply, and was curious what times they were currently viewing as "meeting their requirements" at Mesaba especially as the industry changes with fuel prices. Or whether I just biffed something in the sim. I would like to interview there once more and want to make sure the my times don't hold me back, that way I could be sure it was something I screwed up. Currently I am 500/25, and plan on re-applying after a summer of hopefully nice weather. Any ideas?
Hopefully now we can pass up comair updates...

All applicants that do not meet the specified hiring minimums need to have their application and interview scores reviewed by the Chief Pilot. Hiring has slowed at Mesaba from what it was last summer/fall when a lot of "low-time" pilots were able to join the seniority list. Your times now are much closer to our advertised minimums of 600/50. Taking what you learned at the last interview, some additional flight experience and another chance, I think your odds are much better of being hired this time around. Being qualified is one part, having a personality that will mesh with the Mesaba culture is another. Give us another try this summer and see what happens.
I would caution you to look at the landscape at that time though. Mesaba may not be the best choice for career progression come this summer as you will be at the tail end of the big hiring wave. Other regionals may offer a better upgrade/pay/QOL for you at that time. Keep your options open.

I'm surprised they granted you and interview with those times.
For anyone that got the 22 inch stealth rollaboard from the stopover store I've started to get a couple of holes and a few small tears in the cloth (believe it or not with our groundcrews) and was curious if anyone had any advice on how to do little patch ups in the cloth. Go detwau
And for the sake of being redundant / help compete with our potential future wholly owned's at Comair, what are new routes we can see post April 7th? Any other great rumors circulating around?
Muppets... go to mymesaba, pass bureau, XJ schedules and you can see the entire AIRLINK (Mesaba, Pinnacle, Compass) schedule. The latest one has been posted which is for the April 7-May schedule period.
Why not look for the facts than thrive on the rumors, when the facts are looking at you in the face? NWA has multiple schedule changes throughout the year which involves shuffling capacity around to meet demand. When that happens, Mesaba, Compass, Pinnacle and mainline do the route/gauge shuffle. Remember... these are NWA routes not Mesaba, Pinnacle or Compass routes.
