I don't see why this would be fixing a mistake.....there is no reason to have more fo's than captains. Captains have more training and more vacation so there should always be more captains than fo's. The only reason i could see why you would carry more fo's is if you where expecting a bunch of upgrades. I agree nothing will happen until after the merger, but these guys won't hit the line until right around when the merger should be complete.

August 27 they put out a companywide memo asking for more LCA's for all aircraft....is that a hint

Is Mesaba looking to hire? On the company website it states that there are FO job openings.
I chucked in my app as I'm about to be on the street soon.
Can anybody validate this? I'm even thinking about Great Lakes... Any thoughts?

New hire class of 30+ starts September 8th (Saab and CRJ900), no word on additional classes yet..........
