I heard TODAY that Mesaba is getting Freedom's 900's and they are going to start flying out of ATL. However, I'm not even in class yet and did not get the info from a very reliable source.
At least 5 Freedom 900's are now on Pinnacle property getting conformity checks. I haven't heard whether or not they are going to be permanent.
Perhaps you're not as good as Flylow. I have had students who soloed in as little as ten hours and couple who never did. You must remember that the ability to learn is different in each individual. We had one guy in a CRJ-900 program who was an absolute 'skilled' pilot at just over 200 hours.
That's right, some people -- and I am NOT counting myself as a natural -- just learn more quickly and have more of an affinity for flying an airplane. Also, 'comfort' in my vocabulary is far from 'mastery', which I am a long way from. The point is, don't worry too much about low (piston) multi time; willingness to learn, professional attitude, flexibility, and endurance over the course of a 5 or 7 leg day are more important.
Mesaba guys, we got 7 freedom birds our way and we were told they were "temporary" and that they will be probably taken away when we get the rest of our deliveries. Now you know why you are hiring. Isn't being a regional airline pilot awesome!
Now if we use common sense, which is often missing in these threads, Mesaba probably doesn't have any announcement to make. Spangers and others probably do have some ideas that Delta has for us but until the merger/buyout happens there can be no announcement. Then the announcement will come from Delta.
I think that's a good point. It's entirely possible Spangers is sitting in his office wishing someone above him would tell him what the hell the big picture really is instead of giving him orders piecemeal.

Hmm, interesting. Where did you hear about them being taken away?

Our CEO said it in a conference call, he said as of now we are giving them back to Delta after the first of the year. I dont' know who else they would give them back too, we know its not comair.
