I honestly do not see anymore -200s coming anytime soon unless Delta is planning on us flying them because of lower pay rates that Comair.....but I do not see that happening nor do I want to see it happen. With the number of new hires and the continuation of interviews, more -900s are probably inevitable. I would like to see more saabs for an ATL base and I have seen articles where Delta has placed interest in returning to the ATR destinations in the future. I guess time will tell but I will be enjoying the good times.....thats for sure.

I agree - I think the 200 fleet will stay where it's at, or go away all together. Regardless of that, systemwide seniority is what drives upgrades, base swaps etc... and even if our future is held in 900s growth, proper staffing on the saab and 200 is still apart of the big picture.

BTW - we don't need more saabs to start ATL flying. IMO there will be rationalization of many markets, which could see the need for increased capacity, thereby allowing saabs to be moved to other bases if necessary.

Agree with you both, can't see anymore 200's coming into the picture here. But like Bored said, these new upgrades have to come from somewhere (CRJ2, CRJ9, and SF34).

I'm interviewing the 9th, staying at the Best Western they recommend on their list. I have upwards of 30 former colleagues working there now and all seem very happy all things considered. Best of luck!

Is it better to submit via the online app system or send a printed cover letter and resume?

I am amazed that they are still interviewing and I didn't get a call. What are your times?
I applied last year around Nov. and was shut down with 'thanks but no thanks' email. I had more than ATP mins at the time but no jet time.
Fast forward a year I reapplied with CRJ experience from a regional and yet i am still not hearing anything from them , while some 300 hr pilots are not only getting interviews but jobs.

XJ only accepts online applications.

And to Seattlepilot - there might be something on your application that is preventing the interview. Just a guess. Also, HR gets hundreds of applications a week, so they can be selective. It's not only about hours, it's about the whole package. Just because you have jet time and higher than ATP mins doesn't guarantee you an interview.

Go through your application online and make sure everything is in order. Just because you don't get called in for interviews does not necessarily mean there is something wrong with your application. Right now Mesaba is swamped with applications from pilots so they have to go through thousands of them. Send the HR an e-mail and follow it up with a phone call if you really want to work for Mesaba. Caveat, if you do call it could either help you or hurt you depending on your phone manners.
