Hey Piston,
I can’t tell you anything about the 200 or the Saab, but for the 900, it was pretty well laid out. About 9 session including one for the CAT II. Then a ride for PIC and ride for the SIC on two consecutive days. Although I have heard that sometimes SIC getting a ride before the PIC. If all goes well, then the following day would be LOFT and you’re released to go home. I did my Cockpit Procedure Training in Montreal, simulator training in Denver, then the check ride in Montreal. But, it’s changed now from what I know. Mesaba now has its own sim that can be configured to both 200 and 900 and is up and running to the best of my knowledge in Eagan where the HQ is. I believe all it needs is a certification by FAA before they start training on it.
If you have more questions, feel free to post them and I’d reply in between my trips. You can also PM me if you have 900 specific questions or questions in general about anything related to ground, flight training, IOE and line flying.
