Mine was at the vor on the missed, but I had to report the LOM when inbound on the approach which was just a flip of the needle. I have heard of others holding at the LOM.

Would anyone like to speculate how upgrades will go this next year? Meaning will they go the traditional way through the Saab or will all of this build up make for some upgrades to the CRJ?

The published hold was a VOR, but it required radar vectors. I never it made it to the VOR and instead was vectored to the NDB where I would hold on the localizer. There were small variations of this between the other guys that interviewed that day - but it seemed as though the NDB was the fix of choice for the hold. Good luck Tuesday!

It is all speculation right now. I don't think anyone can give you a straight answer on that one.

The instructor could do either one. They will give you the approach plate ahead of time to study (at least they did last year). Look at how you would enter the holds. It makes it easier when it comes SIM time.

When I interviewed, the gentleman didn't make me hold. On the missed, he moved me completely away from where I should have been and had me proceed direct to the VOR. He asked me to describe the entry in detail, headings, etc...and that was the end of the sim for me. I didn't actually have to hold.

The chances of anyone recently hired upgrading in a CRJ by next year is slim to none. However, you may get a chance to upgrade in the Saab... if you're lucky Of course, we hired street captians last year and I never thought that would happen at XJ either. Crazy times...
