ATL is the new "mecca". The internal announcement is all over the training center right now. In class right now and there are 3 other classrooms with new computers to be used to teach the new hires and up grades.

What internal announcement is this? And are these new computers for the 900? What else are you observing/hearing?

Those Freedom 900s ARE next gens and not the old skanky ones Mesa operates for USAirways.

This is the press release from Mesa (Freedom) when they entered service last December.

For what it's worth, one of the maintenance tech manager told us last week that they had already received serial and registration numbers for the 17 additional CRJ9s. He actually volunteered this info even without asking. When asked if he thinks Mesaba will get additional CRJ9s, he said he is very certain Mesaba will.

No official announcement has been made as of yet. The Crew Planning seems to know what is going on as they are hiring flight attendants and pilots like they are getting ready for a major expansion or for a major attrition of the top people to flow through. Who knows. It will be an interesting time in the next few months.
