What is the current junior base? and If it is not junior how long would it take to get DTW?

Did you mean that it is much easier to transfer to msp now? I just wanted to clarify.

I think a few guys have gotten msp to start out. They let you bid in class based on seniority.

Atwoo155-I think for the most part DTW has gotten the majority of the new hires for the past year or so. Not too many have gotten MSP out of training and until the additional 900's were announced, they weren't putting a whole lot in MEM.

Generally speaking in order of most to least senior, it goes MSP, DTW and then MEM. To answer your other question...it depends on what aircraft you're on. You say you're an RJ F/O so if you're on the 200, its kind of limited because the only domicile for the 200 is MSP. For the 900, DTW is the biggest base for it, so I would say it shouldn't take too long to get it.

Are you able to determine from the latest vacancy which bases are open on 12/1 for the SAAB?

Trying to decide on hotels in Eagan for the interview; I'm looking at the Country Inn and Suites as it has been said that they are roughly $65/night with shuttle service...it looks to be substantially higher than that...about $119.

I'm not sure if it's the fact that I need to book for tomorrow night (more expensive because it's short notice), or if the $65 rate is from some time ago, or if there's some reduced rate for interviewees. Any takers on this question? Thanks in advance; if anyone has a better suggestion, please throw it out there.

Yes, tell them you're in for an interview with Mesaba...they should then give you the special rate.

I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites on Wednesday for my interview. It was $59.99 plus tax when I mentioned I was interviewing with Mesaba.

PS for those who wanted to know, the interview is exactly like the most recent gouge on aviationinterviews.com Including the 25 questions for the test. Very good interview experience. The sim was a little squirly on the ILS for myself and the rest of the seven that interviewed, also it has a slight tendancy to be to the right so you need to correct for that, BUT DONT OVERCORRECT. Great company, hope I get the call in the next week!
