Sorry, I'm slow

So is that 250 off the 1170 (give or take) we used to have or 250 from where we're at now?

Wow, all three w/o are pretty much quiet! I'm guessing that no news is good news; or maybe just the calm before the storm, called Delta's SOC?

250 from where we started, not 250 from now. Take it with a grain of salt though..

Sounds about right.....but what no one seems to be talking about is beyond DEC 2010. Does anyone really think returns are going to stop? The saabs will keep getting parked until they are all gone.....I mean its obvious. So unless something good happens for us next year, that 250 number ain't worth donkey doo doo.

Well FWIW, most of us around during the bankruptcy figured the Saabs would all disappear starting summer/ fall 2011 Because why else would the leases be pulled forward to align with the contract dates for the unions???? We didn't know that some would come up earlier somehow as they have.... But yes those of us that have been here and are in a position to be screwed by this latest round did know and care of the end of the Saabs..... Best guess I have is if you weren't furloughed from the bankruptcy you probably will not be from the end of the Saabs... those of us that were and came back are in the who knows zone, those hired in 2007+ are probably looking at the street eventually from this latest round of shenanigans....

while i agree the saabs will most likely all be parked...i remind you it doesnt take very long for change...i do remember DAL deciding in less than 30 days that a certain 10 76 seat A/C were going to another DCI carrier...when DAL/NWA has one SOC then we will know more...March of 2010 things will either show good signs at XJ or it will take a turn for the worst...i don't think DAL wants to furlough half the seniority list at XJ that would get pretty freakin expensive...

And what makes you think Delta is concerned with making good economical decisions lately. Parking the Saabs........that sure was a doosey.

That ball was set in motion by NWA during the bankruptcy. The hosing of the leaseholders as well as moving forward the lease dates. Delta may well have been in on the decisions under the table but only a very select few will ever know if that is true.
