It was on the long side. I'm not totally sure how they do it (seniority?), I know people that got done training after I did and started IOE before me. I'd say 2 weeks is the average from all the people I've talked to.

This excludes the guys sent to STL for their sim stuff however...I heard something about that sim going down. Some of my classmates were sent home and are still waiting to finish their sim training.

You must be getting close to the end yourself... done soon?
Just finished lesson 4 in the sim today and I have 3 days off so I'm heading home for a couple.

How are you liking Michigan?

Traveled from Miami to Dayton, OH and back last weekend. Talked to every airport bartender, senior citizen over 85, TSA personnel with IQ above 90 and restroom cleaning staff. Their collective opinions resulted in the following conclusions:

Compass E-175s to NWA. (interim DC-9 replacement)
NWA Purchases E-195s or E-1000 (DC-9 & Air Bus replacement)
Compass pilots given option of Mesaba SAAB Street Capt (if qualified) or
NWA hire as new FO.

The rest room janitor near DTW Pinnacle gate insisted Mesa would offer Compass pilots China CRJ street Captain employment.

Those are the last classes for 2007? So will there be more starting up again in 2008?

No, those are the last vacancy dates. They are running two classes a month through Nov, Dec, and the foreseeable future.

That would not be fair to XJ pilots. Why should Compass pilots be given the option outright to NWA FO position when XJ pilots don't have that option.
