I interviewed on the 18th. (Technically after the middle.) I was told to expect a July class date, but was also asked how flexible I was as they fill dates as needed from the pool. I told them I could be there tomorrow. I recieved my packet on the 24th. Just sitting around waiting for the phone to ring

Congrats on the job--letting them know you are available early is a good thing.

I interviewed in early March and was given a July class date. I called back and let them know I was available and they gave me May 28th! I am currently sitting in Memphis (my girlfriend and I came down to check it out to see if we could live here) and thinking that I will have to find a crash pad. It just isn't a city we want to live in so I am hoping to bid Minneapolis as soon as I can and just commute in the interim.

BTW anyone got a line on crash pads in MEM??

How long between filling out the online application and hearing back from them was it for you mesaba hires?

I submitted the app a few days ago because I was anxious (but I still had only a 2nd class med). After I get my 1st class wednesday I'll send it again, then check my email 4 times a day.

I've read that before this period of hiring the list was at 600. In 2 years after all the growth they expect to be at 1300. I've also read that Mesaba has a senior core MSP group of pilots, so that top of the list attrition has been and will be lower than most regionals. Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this so far.

My question is, say best case I interview in June, I'd probably be in the pool untill at least august right? What number would this get me? I'm just trying to see if I'd be following the advice of "get in durning the first half of every expansion" Thanks.

I applied and was called about three days later for an interview the following week. Interviewed on a Thursday and was called the following Tuesday for the offer.

I can't remember exactly but I thought they were in the mid 600s now. Some of the long time Mesaba guys can answer the numbers questions better--very helpful guys on here.

I applied late on a Thursday afternoon and got a call from them the next Monday. I interviewed on the 12th of April. I dont have a firm class date yet, but have been told to expect something in mid-July.

I havent heard anything about a pool, but it wouldnt surprise me. They have hired quite a few pilots in the last couple of months. I would imagine their training department is quite busy right now.
