If I were to get hired by American Eagle and choose LAX, are the lines on the Saab 340 and the ERJ commutable? It sounds like I would probably end up on the Saab 340. What is a typical line like as far as the flying? I would be commuting from LAS, so a short commute with plenty of daily flights and I would probably get a crash pad if necessary in the beginning. Thanks.

For August there are 26 hard line for LAX Saab, and 12 additional Reserve, relief and composite. Here are the last 6 hard lines:
Sorry, the formating doesn't translate very well, from the .txt document to APC's boards.

Most of these lines look surprisingly commutable, most look commutable on both ends. And these are the worst hard lines in the base. But 1/3rd of all LAX Saab lines are still junior to these...
Here are some of the pairings for those lines, once again the .txt file doesn't translate too well...
KEY:
Day, Flt#, ORIG-DEST, DEP, ARR, Block time, Turn time, Eqip Type.
The last line of the day adds, Block time, DeadHead time, Credit, Duty time, Layover city, Rest time.
The Line beginning D-END shows, Off duty time, Normal, Reduced or Compensatory Rest, Next Day Report time, and overnight hotel.
Wow! Thanks for the information. Even with the key I am having some trouble deciphering the info though. In your opinion would this be commutable from LAS once you can hold a line? Thanks again.
Yeah man. I am in LAX and commute from Washington. Alaska does a pretty good job in helping me out. For August there are only 2 people on reserve, everyone else got lines. There are people getting off IOE so they will be joining the fun. The flying is great and the captains are wonderful to fly with.
From LAS? Yeah. There's like 40 flights a day from LAS to LAX. 630 am to 1145pm. I don't remember seeing a route with more nonstop service, anywhere, ever.
