Default ExpressJet.........Corporate???

This Question/Thread should be in the Corporate, 135 or even Frac. forums. So I appologise in advance.
But since there are more ExpressJet guys over here, I'm wondering if any of you XJT Regional guys know anything about the Corporate side of your company. 90 hr guarentee, $18hr overide and Home basing. Sounds interesting. If you are a XJT employee can you jump between the corporate and Regional side? Does the corporate side have the same link to CA?

Any information would be appreciated

You must interview to fly on the corporate side. The interviews are awarded in seniority order and you have to be very senior to do it. I think the most junior charter Captain has been here for around 10 years. Charter FO's are fairly senior as well and can generally hold Captain on the line flying.

It is the same bid so if you are on the corporate side you can bid back to the line flying if you want. I think there is a certain amount of time that you have to stay on the corporate side like 3 months or something, to keep people from bouncing back and forth. The pay and over ride are nice. There are only 14 captains and 14 first officers on the corporate side, so with roughly 2,800 pilots that makes it about 1 % of the pilot group flies on the corporate side. I would say that all of the FO could CA if they wanted to and a new hire likely would never hold it as CA, unless you are under 25 and retire at express becuase the CA that hold it are not going anywhere and they aren't that old.

I hope that helps.

The corporate side is some pretty senior $hit.
