Called payroll. First they told me that unless I could provide them with something saying I didn't authorize them to take money out for United Way then they wouldn't refund me the 100.00 that they took out of my checks. I asked when you ever sign a non-authorization for charity. I told them that unless the company can produce something that I signed authorizing this, that I expect to see a check in the mail ASAP.

Apparently something like this happened last year (and probably the year before knowing these crooks) where peoples checks just started shelling out money to the United Way. Something tells me that when this company gets close to a goal, they just start stealing from the employees to meet it. Check your pay stubs guys.

Tell me why again would I want to go the extra mile and fly 15 hours for a company that continuously steals from me?

Hey guys, have a question.
For some masochistic reason I went into Epic and diddle with the bid for next month, until I noticed something. Are all the 200s in JFK now?. Did I miss something?. The hours in JFK are going up by an additional 876. Obviously that's just for july and maybe august. Do they have the personnel to cover all lines plus the normal reserves?. In CVG, the 700 hours are going up by 200 for july, are they staffed also?. Besides lack of space, what other reason is there for not basing the 700s in JFK since Cincy is dead?.
Anyhow, I'm sure some of these questions have been discussed here. I appreciate your answers.

I think the company will recognize they are understaffed when 50% of the flights cancel due to lack of crewmembers. Honestly, I think they are purposely running short staffed because we are going to see a huge pull down this fall..... I know I'd hate to get recalled just to get furloughed again right after going back out on line.

Default Interesting Memo

Below is a memo issued by my current employer (I'm a Comair furloughee) regarding checked baggage. I thought some of you might get a kick out of it. I guess I always took it for granted that refrigerators were not allowed as checked baggage. See below:

[b][b]Special notice for Johannesburg-Lagos guests

June 2, 2009

Intending guests on Arik Air’s services between Johannesburg and Lagos should note the following:

* The Airports Company South Africa
does not permit the following items as checked-in baggage:
o TV sets (inclusive of Plasma and LCD)
o car parts (inclusive of tyres)
o radio
o generators
o refrigerators.

I bet that:

1) ATP requirements would increase Keeping the rif raf out of the industry.
2) Duty time Regulations would improve drastically.
3) The Whipsaw Bull that Regional carriers endure would END.

We have a Dem in the WhiteHouse, Dems all over Congress, and a favorable FAA administrator......

IT must be because we have ALPA that we cant seem to get any positive changes accomplished.
I bet that:
1) Said Representative would have administative staff change adjust junk mail filter to include (fill in your email adress)

Well Comair finaly took its toll on me. I put in my 2 weeks today! I am looking forward to spending every night at home and working a normal job in which you get paid for every hour you work. No more commuting, crashpads, eating every meal out....I can't wait. For those of you who don't want to get furloughed or want to get called back, I hope my spot helps you.
