The timing sounds about right, because Comair is such as class act, they usually posts furlough lists before a holiday. Remember they posted the January furlough list the night before Thanksgiving day? So, with 4th of July holiday tomorrow, today would be a good guess, but I'm thinking no. Nobody is working at the GO today because tomorrow is a holiday.

straight from the mouth of bendover and soap in jfk ops earlier in the week it is supposed to be out today or atleast some form of an announcement about furloughs to come.

Could be a ploy to try and get the union to give up a jfk/lga co domicile in exchange for a no furlough clause.

Did anyone look at the preliminary fall schedule on deltanet? It's in two excel files. By my count, OH will have 57 daily departures from CVG and 76 from JFK...

I would welcome a furlough just to get the 3825 out of J3825'nK. I hate this place! I nuke bomb set off in NYC would make my freaking day! I am going to quit but I would take the furlough just for the unemployment and pass benefits even if they are S3C (the C stands for can't C your azz on board). So bring it on just make it quick.

As far as dual domicile goes Absolutely not! If the union agrees to that I will quit the union!!

You must be a CVG transplant. I loved JFK, taxing with aircraft from all over the world (instead of every plane a stupid Delta tail), and the whole action of the place. VOR 13L, what can I say, I love it! Flying low over the belt parkway and turning final over the Marriott. As far as NYC is concerned, jump on the subway and head to Manhattan for only $2. It truly is a great place to visit, unlike Cincinnati, with it's muddy river and nothing to do.

I don't even think a JFK-LGA co-base would be that bad. Most crash pads are between the two, with transportation available. The thing you need to watch out for is a tri-airport base. EWR sucks as a whole, and just try getting there during rush hour!

Commuting from anywhere in the US is much easier to NYC than CVG. Know why? Because CVG=Delta, and Delta sucks. You can't get direct anywhere on Delta. I was thinking of going to BGR for a long overnight with my girlfriend tomorrow...but that means a 3 leg trip on DL, through ATL each way (total 12 hours!)! If I was not furloughed, I could do it in 2 legs on other airlines and avoid ATL and only 5 hours.

Your are being little extreme! Do not wait for furlough, just quit now and save your self the pain.
