I told this to a friend's son a couple of weeks ago.
When I started my airline career in 1979, American lost a DC-10 on takeoff in ORD. It was AA191.
The DL L-1011 that went down in DFW during a microburst was DL191.
If I'm not mistaken, the call sign on our 5191 was OH191.
Never forget!

There are those moments in life where you remember where you were and what you were doing when you learned about them. Challenger, Columbia, 9/11, and 5191 are among roughly a half dozen for me.
RIP to the victims. Condolences to the families. It still bothers me that the pilots of that flight were distracted from operating safely by concerns about their economic security, after the company had recently announced they would need concessions to maintain Comair's size.
