Thanks Vega for the kind thoughts.

But I still have to wonder about your username.

From wikipedia:

A vagabond is an itinerant person. Such people may be called tramps, rogues, or hobos. A vagabond is characterised by almost continuous travelling, lacking a fixed home, temporary abode, or permanent residence. Vagabonds are not bums, as bums are not known for travelling, preferring to stay in one location.
Historically, "vagabond" was a British legal term similar to vagrant, deriving from the Latin for 'purposeless wandering'.[1] Following the Peasants' Revolt, British constables were authorised under a 1383 statute to collar vagabonds and force them to show their means of support; if they could not, the penalty was gaol.[1] Under a 1495 statute, vagabonds could be sentenced to the stocks for three days and nights; in 1530, whipping was added. The assumption was that vagabonds were unlicensed beggars.[1]
By the 19th century the vagabond was associated more closely with Bohemianism. The critic Arthur Compton-Rickett compiled a review of the type, in which he defined it as men "with a vagrant strain in the blood, a natural inquisitiveness about the world beyond their doors." Examples included Henry David Thoreau, Walt Whitman, William Hazlitt, and Thomas de Quincey.[2] A notable 20th century vagabond was the Hungarian mathematician Paul Erdös.

That's not good, I'm getting the feeling Comair is about to be reduced further, or become a ground services only company. I say that because I notice that Mesaba, Compass and even Pinnacle are getting alll the new flying while Comair is getting nothing.

Was the Manager that was terminated right about the Company going to ground ops only???

Yep,....I have been saying this for quite some time now. Regardless of the Mesa ordeal, Comair is pretty much done in 09'.

I heard a tid bit about certain management pilots and perhaps even some select senior pilots will get a seperation deal or "buy out" if the company goes under. The rest of the pilot group will just get unemployment. Any truth to this?

If the company goes under, why would anyone get anything?

Well, other management employees have been given the option of some type of exit plan or buy out, heck even the Flight Attendants got that. We have some pilots that have been in management so long I even forgot they were on our seniority list. As Comair continues to shrink and furlough into oblivion, some of these pilots I understand will get a deal from the company. So, if things continue down this path are we supposed to negotiate our own deals with management?
