Employee parking at MCI
#2
Take the Mexico Ave Cutoff, entrances are across from the Cargo (UPS, Fedex) areas. It's a small driveway into the chainlink fenced parking lot. Look for the very small 'employee lot' sign that is only about 3 feet high. I was using that parking from December to March and the gate arm was always up. There is supposed to be a monthly charge but I was lucky to go thru the open gate each time and use it for free. There is not even a security patrolling the lot or anything so I had no problems using it.
If I remember correctly, the "prison" buses run about every 15 minutes until 10pm and it runs every 30 minutes from then on.

Thanks for the info...we'll see if i'm "as lucky" or, if my car gets towed....I had friends using EB for quite a while, but they apparently just "stopped" giving crew members a the right to park in their lot, or give them a lift to the terminal. Thanks again.

flynavyj, did you ever get the answer to this? Anyone else got a contact number for employee parking, and/or any better suggestions on where to park?
Thanks!

I just got based there for XJT and there is no option if your employer doesn't have a contract with them. I contacted the airport directly and they said before a contract was in place I couldn't do any kind of employee parking. My only option was to go with an airport hotel that was 30 per month.
There is no sticker or placard that you show in your car. So if you can follow someone into the lot then I doubt you will get towed.

Thanks for the pointer--I've reached out to my airline's station manager @ MCI.
When you say "contract with them," to you mean the airline has a contract with the airport (for conducting their arrivals & departures, gates, whatever); or a specific contract with the parking operation? If the former, I'm obviously good; if the latter, I have no idea....
