Arrow ASA lowers mins to "NONE" with those who have a CRJ Course

I am looking to apply at the Air Inc Career Fair in Dallas on Jan 26th.....So I've begun researching each airline. I see that ASA has deleted the previous 300-ttl & 25-me time required to those who graduated a CRJ course. Guess they must really need pilots........I couldn't find on their website any postings of ordering new aircraft.......One would think with the new contract signed, they would be able to maintain pilots longer?

Minimums for Advanced Jet Training:
A multi-engine commercial instrument rating and completion of an advanced jet course is sufficient for an interview.
No minimum flight time requirement
Advanced Jet Training; includes: Transport Category Systems Training, Level 5/6 Jet FTD or Category C/D Jet Full Motion Simulator, Crew Concept Training, FMS Training Preferred, Glass Cockpit Preferred, Crew Resource Management (CRM) Training, Accelerated Jet Ground School

Wow! All this means ais that they will more than likely get through sim training and understand the systems going in. But it does nothing for the lack of flying experience in terms of hours...assuming they have very little.

And if they make it that far, they'll have no real PIC experience when they upgrade to CA...

Way to go ASA. WOW, that would make me feel real safe riding in the back knowing the FO has no flight experience.................

That does suck. Doesn't mean they'll get hired though. They have to make it through the sim eval. just like everyone else.

This could put 190 hour pilots in the right seat of an RJ (141 commercial mins).

The race to the bottom continues. Glad I'm not a IOE guy over there.

Don't feel bad, ExpressJet has removed their number(s) and posted this on their website......

Pilots are responsible for ensuring the safety of ExpressJet customers while working cohesively with co-workers on the plane and on the ground. ExpressJet is recruiting skilled individuals with the drive to establish a career with the largest regional jet operation. If you do not qualify for our pilot position at this time, please reapply in three months. Minimum flight hours may fluctuate as the airline industry changes and ExpressJet grows.
