yeah we had a couple other guys show the same thing. he said the lowest he saw his tlh turn (he does the highspeed) before this was 29 minutes. then it turned into 13. so lets see. lets say it takes 35 minutes to get to tlh. that would mean we are already 22 minutes late for a 30 minute turn. yeah who knows what is going on behind the scenes. sounds like we are getting strong armed.

i think we have something good going for us in fighting this is what uncle phil said. we were supposed to agree to mutual schedules but dal has been deciding them since day one apperantly with no input. that might be what saves us.

Like i said, DAL is probably making room for some DC9s that are supposedly going to be heading down to ATL.

if that is the reason we would be the easiest to get rid of. we only have 9 planes right now. and about 70 pilots. wouldn't be to hard i guess to shut us down there.

Take it easy, I was just making a point that sometimes it is DAL's fault...
In cases like this when you are stating that a crew has a 30 minute turn with a crew swap and then has to walk over 4000' to make it to their next a/c when, based upon their parking location, this just doesn't happen in ATL; then yes.

I know the above does happen at other airports but not in ATL because of the lack of parking spots that are able to support the 900.

I am on your side and I do feel that DAL is at fault.

Delta often does "slot swaps" with us (Comair) in JFK so they can get a mainline aircraft in on time at the expense of us being late. If ATC is forcing cancellations, they will cancel us so they can free up slots for mainline aircraft. This happens quite often, especially on bad weather days when traffic starts clogging up the system. Hence, we are often at the bottom of on time performance.

So it is practiced, just not sure how often outside of JFK.

You mean Phil actually said something that wasn't deceitful or a stretch of the truth???? and he didnt blame the pilots and their evil union?? say it ain't so! Global warming, phoey! Not only did hell freeze over, pigs are flying!

Actually I think it would be easier to shutdown SKW in ATL. We only have round 30 or so pilots and around 35 FA's with only about 7 a/c worth of flying. They could easily transfer us back out west where they are projecting growth in order to open up ATL gates. Also by moving us they don’t have to deal with any lawsuits from broken contracts.

I don't know how DL does it... but NWA creates the marketing times and flight schedules and dumps it on Mesaba, Pinnacle and Compass. It is then up to those airlines to match schedules to aircraft and people. I would imagine DL does the same sort of thing... it is up to Pinnacle to tail route and create pilot schedules that are realistic. They barely do that for NWA, it could very well be the case in ATL. If duty days scheduled to the max, block times scheduled to the max and rest as short as possible creates a nightmare at NWA, how could it possibly work at DL?

Ever think about this concept? What if DL is shedding this Pinnacle contract because it's easy? Perhaps they don't want to deal with Pinnacle at the new Delta. This is apart of the streamlining of DCI carriers and this is a tiny contract to get rid of. NWA owns the 200s that Pinnacle operates, therefore the new Delta will own them and can control who operates them. Looks like Pinnacle is in a precarious situation.

Or it could go this way... DL wants to create a new contract for Pinnacle and by shedding the 900s they are temporarily no longer a DCI carrier. But after the merge, Pinnacle is back in play with the 200s and therefore probably the 900s and is forced into a new deal with the new Delta.

NWA, DL and US are the only airlines that Pinnacle can fly these planes for. Hmmm... Pinnacle Crop owns Colgan and Pinnacle Airlines. Pinnacle Corp owns the 900s. Hmmm... perhaps 900s to be flown for US?

TLH is central time and ATL is eastern, I bet the block time was 1:13. There is no way DAL would block a flight at 13 minutes.
