For DCA to LGA/EWR/JFK I don't think there is any 'probably' about that!

Im almost positive that Airways can only cut back a Max of 13%....if they cut any more than that, its grounds for a lawsuit.

Side note...has Mesa received any cutbacks from Airways???

Best of luck to any of the New Hires here at Whisky...

Not sure, but you know that Airways is going to cut our flying first. Mesa operates those 900's cheaper than our 200's.

Three points of fact are:

1. Doug Parker has stated in townhall meetings that "JO is no friend of his"
2. USAir upper management is WELL AWARE of the business practices of Mesa management and is watching carefully.
3. Mesa's contract has only a year and a half left with US.

You are free speculate as you see fit.

I agree 100%. DP has made his position on JO and mesa crystal clear. They are gone...in the mid-term, if not the short-term.

true but they also operate 200's as well....im just curious to see what other airlines were being affected by the cutbacks from airways...i dont wanna screw any one else over in the process either....except for gojets

Ive already started digging in my backyard...im about 6 feet deep....as soon as i strike oil...im selling it to the airlines for 80$ a barrel...Ill be the sole person responsable for saving the jobs of thousands...and you all will host parades in my honor

Hopefully Long Island is prime oil drilling real estate

Lot's of ego between Parker and Ornstein...before Cactus bought Airways Ornstein, with our 300 million in the bank that he has since squandered, was looking to acquire Airways. Like that would have worked. These 2 guys saw one another as competition. Perhaps Parker will have the last laugh. My guess is he probably needs us right now.

Mesa helped bail out America West years ago, we always had a pretty good relationship w/ them...since the merger, things have obviously changed.

We have also heard some pretty wild rumors out west here re: our Dash 8 operation. Haven't heard anythng re: cutbacks and the jet...yet.

Just curious if anyone has the actual numbers of 200s operated by YV for Airways...i thought the 900s were the main aircraft on the CRJ front(CLT/PHX?)

That was a rumor, 5 years ago. It turned out true... and happened two years ago.

Where have you been?

I'd like to propose a new forum rule: every post that is based solely on a rumor should include the word "Rumor" before the title of the post, ie

"Rumor: Air Wisconsin loses 50% of US Air Flying?"

I know this probably applies to 75% of the posts, but at least then those of us who care less about "rumors" will know which posts to skip...
