My classmates and I may have ya beat, the possible Comair furloughs are possibly being issued Sept 1st, right about the time we're all due to finish sim. With any luck we might be able to complete IOE before furlough.

Yuck. My girlfriend is over there. How deep are they thinking furloughs are going at Comair? She hasn't mentioned anything to me, but then again I don't think she spends much time worrying about it.

At 9E i had been TDYing and sport bidding getting $1000/month in per diem. If you are not living in-base it's the way to go. It doesn't always work out, but it boosted my first-year by several thousand. Whatever the case may be, just plan on being broke as h*ll. Several thousand more than welfare level pay is still poverty. Good per diem or not, you're going to starve.

I thought you flew at Comair? So, you should know there are quite a few people here that have been on reserve forever.

1st year at AE grossed 32K, including about 300 hours of per diem a month and crediting 85-95 hrs a month. 2nd year i'm on pace for 45K.

Try IOE, 1 trip, and 2 weeks reserve before my current Furlough at PSA... "Welcome to the Airlines"
