She doesn't have a leg to stand on. She doesn't know what the wind or temp was when you took off. She has no way of knowing exactly what the max take off weight should have been. For all she knows, you could have asked for the current temp and wind just prior to shutting the door. Who says you have to use the ATIS info...especially if it is 30+ minutes old.

i dont disagree, but the woman is obviously carrying a vendetta, and we have to suffer it

I doubt she's looking up each weight making sure it's dot on, in the case of HHH she's probably just checking forms with 34,500. I don't remember the last time we could take 34,5 out of HHH. As for MDT, 34,5 should be fine for almost any flight as long as it's written. If someone gets a letter for writing 33,820 in HHH when Sandra thought it should be 33,600 that might be cause for a march on Baltimore.

Here is the deal with the weight and balance guys, and this comes straight from the faa (the inspector in hhh gave me a line check on his way out). Apparently someone anonymously called the safety hotline and said pdt was not filling put w&b forms correctly so they were required because of this call to go out and perform audits. One went to phl, one to hhh, and I don't remember where the other went. In hhh the deal is in the summer, u know we will b restricted. He wasnt sitting over our shoulders ensuring it was exactly perfect, just that it wasn't 34500 cause at noon in June in hhh, its a given it is going to b hot. If it was only one or two I don't think it would have been a problem but I saw AW down there the next day and he showed us 2 from the day prior with 34500. Nobody is targeting anyone its just a reminder to all to do ur job properly.

Are those guys getting put in a pool waiting for class or just getting nothing? I just got an offer the other day... doesn't bode well.

Actually, the "forced training events" are to reduce the letters. The letters are Letters of Investigation issued by the FAA. Two pilots will receive theirs from SH shortly. Hopefully, the training will dissolve the "letter."
