Yeah agree. You would have to spend 4 nights a week at the gentlemans club across the street in order to fail that indoc.

Actually I think there were several questions relating to the talent over there in my indoc test.... something about Turbine Intake Temperatures...

You may be talking about the written test for CQ, now theres quite a few pilots (CA's and FO's) failing that. Im sure glad our union decided to lobby for that format without asking the pilots. It seems to be paying huge dividends! Thank You!

How about; "Thank you MEC for not consulting the pilots that elected you before signing off on a major change like that."

Although I'm not surprised. This issue isn't any different than the opentime relief given to management by the MEC, or the funds initially allotted for the "T.O. Training Relief Fund." Piedmont ALPA MEC, please! Communicate with whom you represent, and ask us what we think, before you go rogue.

ALPA is a fraud and I blame them just as much as I blame management for everything.

Who told you that? I flew with the former negotiating chairman and he flat out told me that him and Randy Schultz are the ones that negotiated this BS. Their logic was why do you need to memorize limitations and other related information when it's all available to us in books and placards while we're flying. Straight out of the horses mouth. If I was a union supporter I'd be denying it too because they thought they were helping us out and ended up shafting the whole pilot group.

You're misinterpreting what DM told you. Ask him if the union can negotiate test standards... Which that would be doing. I already know his answer. And Randy Shultz? Are you kidding? Why would the grievance chair have anything to do with the training section? Get your 'FACTS' straight. I understand people not liking alpa. I don't like alpa but I won't ignore real facts. I chose to work here as did you. Have you tried changing things? Perhaps a teamsters push for desertification? Ok. Keep complaining.

I wouldn't want their job, I'm glad there's people out there that are willing to do it and mostly on their own precious time. BUT, nobody put a gun to their head to accept the job and how about polling the pilot group before making a decision. Were u asked about switching to an open book test? I wasn't. Before the open book test format was implemented everybody was in an uproar. Most of us with some sort of education can tell you an open book test is never a free pass. Are u telling me DM didn't negotiate the open book test? I'm sure he doesn't like the 1 hour rule but he did negotiate changing the test format. ...ask DM about RS and wanting this test format if u dont believe me. I understand there was good intent but it sure as hell has made it worse. Agree?
