I myself haven't had any problems in training but to read something like that infuriates me, u make it sound like the training department will not help u succeed

I said not go the extra mile for the "young and weak". Not for aviators. Words are being put in my mouth. We have seen a great number of them this past hiring spree thus why we let so many go. I needed to get on this message board to stop it because I suspect many are bashing the training department lately on this forum because they were simply let go. No need to put this department and company down on an internet message board because you couldnt make the cut in AQP.

Now lets talk about the positives....

Thank you for agreeing with me. As far as your question, those types of topics don't need to be discussed over an internet messaging board. I meant positive experiences and stories that you have encountered over you're years here at Piedmont Airlines. Not the normal bashing and complaining. We are Dash Drivers, lets respect AQP and all we have worked for over the years

Listen, I don't know what you are trying to pull other then instigating for the sake of entertainment but you are certainly not who you are attempting to pass yourself off as being. I have either been evaluated, lined checked, taught in class by or flown with every member of the training department including JK. And though I may not agree with some of what they do or the "philosophy" of the program I do feel that as individuals all of them are mature professionals. And none of them would come on a message board and make an ass out of themselves by making statements such as what you have said. HHH overnights? Are you kidding me? The dirtiest, crappiest hotel in the system? It may be good for goin out or hitting the beach for those who are willing to step foot in the filthy petrochemical saturated waters of the Atlantic coast but one of "the positives"! That right there makes you nothing but a troll....If I had to guess, you are probably a new hire who wants to be an instructor or something.

Regardless of who I am (never heard a troll before) we can all agree that there is too much negativity on these message boards. I just wanted to bring up the fact that there is indeed a lot of good to this company. The dash is a great piece of equipment for a new 121 pilot to fly. This kind of experience will help set a standard for them as they go move on and fly bigger and better. Its sad that many people who read this message board create a bad image without giving it a try. It's for them to decide without reading this trash posted on here.

Excuse me but when you have been working at this miserable excuse of an airline for as long as I have, now my third air carrier job and 7th flying job and you know what it's like to work for a company that actually cares about the welfare of its employees, and this one DOES NOT, then you wouldn't be making such "nOObesquse" statements. Industry and PDT company vets will sniff you out every time my young deluded new hire. Maybe those of us here recognize the pain that is PDT and don't want anyone to make the mistake of coming here when there are much better regionals to work for. Additionally the shorter staffed PDT gets the more leverage this pilot group has toward our ongoing contract woes...

I will acknowledge the nobility of trying to be positive about PDT. But what you have not been here long enough to realize is that we are waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy beyond that now.

A:I haven't been in CLT in almost 6 months because EWN, ROA and CHO gets all that flying. And B: I have yet to have a new hire as an F/O or an instructor even in my jumpseat besides my upgrade SOE Captain and you definitely are not him. So I seriously doubt you have any clue as to who I am. Just keep talking out your hoohaa dude...You are only making yourself out to be exactly what everyone here already knows you are.

I have a feeling this cat has some sort of affiliation with training or management. Lets respect AQP??? What new hire would ever say this?. I have talked with many new hires who have wished they're training experience went better than it did.

For the most part you are right, but trust me, a few new-hires sucked up to the training guys so hard they would have done very well in "sultry" careers. An SOE captain and check airman who I'm pretty tight with told me the new hires are making him worry for the future of mankind.

Besides, the legal and HR ramifications of a statement like "weed out the weak" is endless even on a public board with an assumption of anonymity. No one in training or mgt would make such a statement even if that is what they really thought. Especially on the heels of the whole Buffalo newspaper/Pfeifle thing.
