So we're all supposed to toe the line like scared little sheep? Tool
Easy killer, I don't know who you're calling a tool. I'm not telling you or anyone else how to act. I'm just making an obvious observation that if the same thing had happened to a pilot that wasn't in good stature with the company, they would have used this as a reason to get rid of him.

Default Fo atp

Has anyone gone through the current FO ATP program? From what it looks like we go down 1 day early to get "trained" 4 hrs of ground and 4 hrs in the sim, then just complete the normal CQ with an extra maneuver or two. Anyone have any further info?

That's pretty much it. A few did it this week with no problems. You get the ATP at the completion of the LOE.

So what are the sentiments out there on the line about the strike vote?

You guys think it will go through?

Best of luck if it does. Most of the career guys will probably be voting no.

I really hope everyone votes YES on this. There is no reason not to. The fears of us shutting down if we strike are overblown. We gotta call their bluff and put a stop to this stonewalling. There might be 2 or 3 senior captains in SBY that will vote NO, otherwise I think everyone is on board.

Good to hear.

Hope it works out for the best for you guys. Tell SBY to shove it.

Anyone hear about the min. going to 250 PIC? Just came up today. Does this mean that a pilot with 250 hours pic can apply for this position? What does 60 hours on reserve mean?

Piedmont Airlines, a US Airways Express carrier, is currently accepting resumes and is actively
interviewing and hiring. Our airline has a fleet of 44 deHaviland Dash-8 100 and 300 aircraft
operating over 350 flights a day to 55 destinations. Crew bases include Harrisburg, Salisbury,
Charlottesville, Roanoke, and New Bern. Our starting rate of pay is one of the highest in the
regional airline industry. We also include a comprehensive benefits package.
Minimum qualifications for consideration include:
· Must have the requisite hours plus projected flying when hired (approximately 60 hours per month on reserve) to procure an ATP by July 2013.
· 250 hours of PIC time
· Possess a commercial multi-engine license, an instrument rating, and an English
Proficient Endorsement..
· Passport
· FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit
· Current First Class Medical Certificate
Preference will be given to college graduates with aviation degrees, applicants who have
successfully passed their ATP written exam, and those applicants currently employed in a
multi-engine pilot position. All others with qualifying times will compete for interview vacancies
when they become available.
Interested individuals should submit their resume to by e-mail to: [email protected]
Piedmont Airlines is “An EEO Employer M/F/V/H”.
