PDT has meeting May 6/7 with AAG management.

Wonder why their MEC chair refused to sign the FFD stop the whipsaw pledge.... Things that make ya go hummmm...

If you're a PDTer, you need to set your MEC straight.

The PDT MEC chair already set straight why he didn't sign it and it makes sense. It is a document with not fundament and you can see that by looking at the PSA MEC chair signature on it.

Ummm, yeah. I think all the MEC's who signed it need to ask themselves why they would sign anything that PSA has signed. Things that make you go hmmm.

Not to mention, there was already a US airways express ffd group that PSA was part of before they bent over for this last round. It's obvious their word/ethics/integrity mean nothing. I tell you what; take PSA off the document, and if Piedmont's MEC still doesn't sign, then come waving a red flag.

You can fight eachother, or fight management. You can't do both and win. Either get over the past and work together for the future; or continue enabling management.

Let me get this straight: PSA backstabbed the last FFD alliance less than a year ago (after signing a very similar "we're going to stand up against the whipsaw" letter in April 2013) and we're supposed to just "get over" it as though it were distant history, yet you come on here wanting to give us grief because our MEC refused to sign a non-binding document?

That's not fighting each other; it's refusing to hold hands and sing Kumbaya with an unrepentant traitor.

Let's not forget PSA has done this before.

Back in 2002 give or take, PSA PDT and ALG agreed to not fall for the whipsaw then being shoved down the collective WO'ed throats. The deal was, nobody would accept RJ's for less than x amount per hour. Well PSA, as is now their normal operating procedure, made a deal for less. thereby cutting out the two other WO carriers.
Again this was not a deal where the carrier would say no to RJ's, just not agree to fly them for less than the common agreed to rate.

But as we all know now, hosing PDT and ALG was not enough for them, they had to get the whole industry.

PSA can not be trusted, they will sell out anyone in order to get just one more jet.
Management just loves them.

Management also loves how angry you guys are with PSA. They bit on a lousy contract (again) and everyone's venom seems to be directed at them. They are not the problem!!!! Management is, and they want every other regional to see PSA and hate them and ignore the real battle here. We ALL need to focus on what's at hand.

Management offered AE, XJT, and RAH "lousy" contracts too, but they voted no. They even threatened to shut down AE just like they did PSA; do you know how that conversation went?

Management: We want to give you these new jets and expand your (real) flow program, but you'll have to undercut the industry in other areas of your contract and shrink long-term. Oh, and we're going to shut you down if you say no.
Eagle MEC: No.
Management: Ok, we sweetened the offer a bit, but this is your last chance and we're going to shut you down if you say no.
Eagle MEC: No.
Management: Ok, fine, we'll give you one more chance if you'll let your pilots vote on it, but we're going to shut you down if you don't take it. We mean it: this is your last last chance: for real this time!
Eagle Pilots: Hell no.

In contrast:
Management: Hey, PSA, we want to give you these new jets and slightly expand your not-flow preferential hiring deal, but you'll have to accept this really weak language and create the regional industry's first B-scale to get them. Oh, and we'll shut you down if you don't take it.
Brownstreak: Cool.

Yes, management is our enemy, but PSA's repeat treachery means they should be regarded as allies of management. Remember: the ally of my enemy is also my enemy.

You can expand it a little more:

Management: Accept what amounts to a concessionary contract or we will shut you down. No other carrots.
XJT Pilots: NO

Management: Accept this crappy contract that will in no way make up for the last 7 years without one. Again, no carrots.
RAH Pilots: NO!

Some of the nonsense, revisionist history, and just ignorance of the facts on APC blow my mind.

What kind of pilots are you rocket surgeons? It's actually frightening some of you flying planes being this naive. Then again if you read a little more, and were better with math you probably wouldn't be so confused and unhappy.
