It was never "indefinitely." The longest they could've been held was December of this year.

They started taking guys again in June.

Why are people so scared to interview?

Uh, indefinitely isn't my word, it was one from a union com at PSA. Glad they started taking guys in June, I hadn't heard that. How do you figure December?

The longest anyone can be held is December of the year he/she was offered the job.

It's in our contract.

If they decide not to take anyone for a whole year then 48 would go in one shot come December.

Long story short no matter what 48 pilots go to AA every year.

Rumor has it PDT's language will be better. Here's to hoping.

This is exactly the ineptitude from our union at Envoy I'm talking about. Under their agreement they can be held til the end of the calendar year they were hired, how as a line pilot do I know that and our comm chair has no idea?

All the rhetoric and BS about no one filling classes and they can't staff the 170s, and you buffoons don't even know what is going on at other carriers. I'd say this regime is worse than Tony, he willfully screwed us but at least he knew what was going on, this clown show is too concerned with their flow date to even pay attention to the regional industry.

Okay so part of my duties as com guy is to have intimate knowledge of all other regionals' contracts, side letters and agreements? You are a broken record, and second rate at best.

A message from the PSA MEC;

Staffing Shortage Update
PSA management has recently taken a number of actions in an attempt to mitigate the pilot staffing shortage. First, management denied or canceled all Association leave for January, February, and March. Second, this weekend, management decided to hold four pilots at PSA indefinitely rather than allow them to begin a class at US Airways in March.

Third, management advised the MEC yesterday that it was canceling vacations for pilots bidding in Round 2 due to extremely short staffing in March. Section 7.H of the Collective Bargaining Agreement describes the responsibilities of pilots and the company when taking this action. As the shortage continues, further vacation cancellations may occur, so every pilot is encouraged to review the language.

Fourth, management has canceled selected recurrent training events—both ground schools and LOFT sessions—over the past week to mitigate the shortage temporarily. This move creates a number of contractual complications in the rescheduling of these events. Delaying training is also unsustainable as it creates further training backlog.

The MEC is concerned that management’s focus on fixing immediate problems will compound the difficulties of implementing new aircraft. Therefore, we strongly encourage PSA management to take a longer view, using realistic targets with a sufficient margin to allow for success. Attempting to operate on a razor thin margin reduces the chances of success during the coming year and is likely to deteriorate the working environment for PSA pilots. We mustn’t be the continued victims of improper planning....

And here's frack, right on que. You are both second rate broken records. When you can ignore someone, and it improves the thread, there's your sign right there. Neither of you know what you are talking about.

So Envoy is not shrinking?

PSA is not filling classes?

170s are not going to Compass?

What exactly am I wrong about? Why can't you guys just admit you made a gamble and we lost. I understand the senior guys will protect their pay, I don't blame them, but why won't anyone admit we screwed over the FOs to protect them?

None of this would bother me if people were just honest. Making all these decisions under the guise of "standing up for the industry" is disingenuous and sad.

News flash man...

Democracy, the No won, you lost. How about you start looking for another job?

It is what it is...you want to bend over? go to PSA or MESA, you will be Ca there in 2 years.

The MEC didn't sell the last TA, it's not their purpose. They voted no, the company pushed for pilot ratification and we voted No. The MEC represented the pilots voice.

Las MEC sell the Bk TA as the best BK TA ever, we bent over and they came back once the merger was done. Why? Because we are a weak pilot group. They will get what they want one way or the other. It got them by surprise that the TA didn't passed.

Take it easy, take a deep breath as go to work happy.

Default This is a PIEDMONT thread

Great job staying on topic fellas. Take your petty debates somewhere else, this is a thread for Piedmont info. All of you telling us how to vote are wasting your breath, let's see what the TA actually says
