I've been criticized for being a negative, non-supportive prick when I've spoken negativity. However, I call it as I see it, and I agree with this.

The ducks are being aligned for liquidation of TSA, folks. We're losing AA flying, 17 airplanes, furloughed 103 now with more to come around year end. The only remaining lifeline the company has is flying for United and they will be done come 12 months in all likelihood. Furthermore, I don't see the company doing any growth with the 50 seaters in this environment. If they want to grow with larger birds, it'll be on the Go Jet side.

Perhaps TSA will survive a super small charter type company as an offshoot to GoJet. But, more or less, its being phased out.

Time to bail!

I hope you guys fare well. You still have options if your willing to up root yourselves, and that can be a major kick to. If you have or are willing to go over seas I hope it is a temporary stint til things get better. Either way alot of us wish nothing but good will come to you.

That sucks.

One of my friends went to Trans States last year for the "quick upgrade" - guess you never really know

Good luck

Here's the lowdown as i know it. We've got 5 airplanes going to mexico that are our leased birds, we have 2 other leased birds which are being returned to the leasing company when our contract on them expires. (7 planes) ontop of that, we've got another 10 aircraft going back to American Eagle starting at the beginning of the year, we might start retiring them close to years end. 824HK was sent to Hot Springs, AR for a heavy check before being returned, it's coming back to STL tomorrow, so maintenance can remove any signs of "TSA" from the aircraft (paperwork, etc) then that birdie will be flying far far away, and the second bird is supposed to leave by weeks end (as i hear it through the grape vine).

These furloughs aren't even taking into consideration the lost american airplanes, so the furloughs for the birds won't happen till later this year, maybe early next year at the latest.

as for gojet, we've already got some idiot FO's making the jump....whining about how they need to "FEED THEIR FAMILIES", far as I'm concerned, let em go....they didn't have the heart, gutts, or balls to be a true waterskier anyway, let em burn with the rest of em....let em all burn.
