its not about pay rates, its about standing up to a management that is slashing our jobs at tsa only to offer jobs at gj....when we should all be one seniority list to begin with.

I'm not really sure. However, I just finished a trip today with a Captain who said that if those numbers are true he'll be a reserve captain again. And he's been at TSA for 4 years.

I would not doubt that at all.

depending how this all pans out and the doors stay open, eagle planes going back at two a mont, I figure I will be back on reserve again around april of next to as late as june. I was a dec 06 new hire.

That is assuming the doors stay open, and does not account for how many people get ****ed in the mean time and walk away.

It would not surprise me at all if there are captains here that cannot afford to go back to FO, and there are ones that will not let their pride do it again and just leave the industry altogether.

It would not surprise me if the TSA is looking and hoping for ship jumpers, it makes their job easier.

I couldn't agree more.

I was talking to another captain that has been on reserve for a year, and got the call today about being downgraded back to FO. He told me that he's very serious about getting out of the industry all together.

The JR FM has told me the same thing before, he said that he would rather do something else as well.

Who knows, just wait and see how this pans out

Why all the doom and gloom at TSA? I thought it was the place to be to get your time and get out.

Check your knowledge before you type, and check out the pay scales while you're at it. Nobody is undermining anybody, UNION with CONTRACT. People have the right to fly anywhere short of being a scab.

Sure, and you have the right to go out and play in traffic on the highway.. Doesn't mean it's a smart thing to do. Or a good idea. Or that it doesn't make you a complete douchebag...

Dang, that would put him at a line holding FO with 3 weekends a month off, and only one more maybe two more years to go to upgrade at Comair...

Sorry to hear the bad news at TSA good luck to all you guys
