Question to Compass pilots
I heard that if new Delta furloughs the furloughed pilots will flow to Compass on the top of the list.
In other words ... no matter if a pilot is "ex old Delta" or "ex old NWA" he/she will be given a choice of coming to Compass above all existing Compass pilots.
Is that true?
Thanks.

They can also choose to flowback to Mesaba. The catch however, is that the number of flowbacks must equal the number of flow UPs. That is about 12 flowbacks to Mesaba who will flow back to the previously vacated positions, which were from all 3 fleets.

Sorry I don't quite understand..
Only ex Mesaba pilots who are now at DAL+NWA will be eligible to flow back?
All,
So if the JPWA is goes through and Delta furloughs a ton of guys - would Compass and Mesaba absorb everybody interested and furlough their own?
Thanks, guys.

Not really... I'm saying that per the flow through agreement the amount of flow backs that can occur to Mesaba must be the same number of flow ups. In other words, it's a vastly different flowback than Compass has. Only about 12 Mesaba guys flowed to NWA, so the same amount could flowback into XJ should furloughs occur. These flowbacks didn't have to have previously flown at XJ and can be anyone scheduled to be furloughed.
When the guys left XJ to flow to NWA, their seniority number and position became "FLOW" as opposed to a number, name and equipment type. It is my understanding that the flowbacks will only occupy those exact same positions, be it Saab CA in DTW or 900 CA in MSP. In this scenario, nobody will get displaced or bumped down the seniority list by a flowback. I guess this is what we got in exchange for lower allowable flow UP positions available to XJ pilots. Fine in my book.

The easiest way to look at this is the following: NWA and then Delta if the merger takes place OWN all 360 seats at Compass. If Delta furloughs after the merger, (there are some protections against that) ALL FURLOUGHED PILOTS in senority order will be offered a position at Compass. As the pilots are typed in the E175 the applicable number of Compass pilots in reverse senority order will be furloughed. The costs of doing this are high. If it is going to be a long term furlough then it would be an easy decision for Delta to make. If it is a short term furlough then it gets a little murky. I hope this helps clarify it. There are some other items are in the agreement but that is for another time. The airline profile section of this website for Compass gives a pretty good explanation.
