Default Crazy afternoon in SFO on Skywest Ramp

I guess this morning in SFO on the Skywest ramp(I guess just happened after we left to SBA around 9a) 2 fuelers got into a big fight, leaving just one fuel guy to do the skywest ramp alone. Have to say feel bad for the only fueler on the ramp doing all the gates by himself. Either way it caused a big back up on gates and requesting fuel. Dont know the full story, but I guess it made for an interesting view around gate 78B.

"But it says on my ticket its United. United screwed me again!" Passenger in seat 5B on the Brasilia who is unable to distinguish between riding on a UAL flight and one operated by a UAL codeshare. Either way, UAL not SkyWest will come away with the bad press. DAL has definitely seen its fair share in NYC due to Mesa, Freedom and Comair.

The fuelers in SFO are not Skywest employees. They work for ASIG. ASIG fuels many different airlines (including Delta and United) at different airports. I agree that some regional airline employees make a bad name for us, but some of our employees do their amount of damage to our names, too.

Have you operated out of Gate 22, dont blame Comair for Big Ds problems.. remember Delta is the one who sets the schedules most of the times you land and cant get a gate cause the ally way is blocked. Not to mention Ramp control treats you like the Red Headed step child...

I was there in the late morning/early afternoon. Its always fun sitting around on the ground for an hour for the gate to open up. There were two fuel trucks running around when I was there but one of the rampers did say there was some sort of fight. It did take us about an extra 15min before we got the fueler to finally give us some gas. Which gave us a nice time crunch since both myself and the captain wanted to make flights to get home.

From what my capt learned from the fueler, while we got fueled, then truck ran out of fuel, then after about 30 min got the remaining fuel we needed at 87a.... He was told that one fueler didnt want to work with another fueler I guess and punched him in the mouth, well the other fueler didnt want to punch back so put him in a headlock to subdue him. I guess thats when others from the ramp came to help and the cops came. Not sure if thats the full story but just sorta a glimpse of what a part of the story was... I guess its just another day in the "Hubs".

Anyone else there have some weird stuff that someone has seen on the ramp that just makes u laugh and scratch your head, and laugh some more?
