For the first time since I was hired a year ago, SkedMinus- is showing adequate reserves for nearly the whole month of September on the Brasilia FO side in FAT, so while I doubt you can say we're fully staffed system-wide, we're definitely not as lean on bodies as we were a few months ago before they stopped running classes.

Well, the Fat crews are taking over the entire west coast system. They now pretty much fly everywhere while the rest of us in the ever shrinking domiciles count our days before we are assimilated into F-town.

FAT crews now operate to more Oregon destinations than the PDX crews.

Yeah, like our new destinations out of PDX. Flown by PDX crews? Nope, Fresno crews. LAME.

My guess is just after the first of the year. We start taking the 4-900's and the 16 700's, 11/08-12/09. We are short on the EMB side, but a little fat on the CRJ side. so give it a few more RJ's and they will have to start doing classes. So pull from the pool some time in Feb/Mar and interview at the same time for May/Jun classes. (just my guess)

LOL! You make it sound like it's the pilots who are making the decisions.

I always told you FATcity had the best lines. You could always transfer down there again? I know of a good crashpad you can stay at! <Ha..ha>
OR.....Make life easer for yourself and put your bid back in for the darkside....its nice over here!

Yeah, I thought it was pretty bizarre that they announce the new PDX flying out of those three cities would be done by FAT crews too. Somebody had an explanation that I read...something about already using the aircraft that were positioned there from the SFO flights, and it seemed to make sense. It just doesn't seem fair. Far be it from me to complain though, I love flying up there in the PDX system.

I might sound that way but I assure you that's not what I meant. I know us pilots have virtually zero say in what flying we do. And I'm also sure that there is some financial reason company is utilizing FAT rather than PDX.

Still, sucks to see the hope of survival get fried away by the Fresno heat.

As for transferring there? Are you kidding? You think I complain now. If I end up commuting there for E120 pay I'll start crying like a littler girl. If I'm forced to commute I'll put a jet bid in and maybe I'll get it before 2010.

I understood what you meant and from what I’ve been told, 4 day trips are the most efficient way to schedule crews. With it being easy to flow crews back in forth through MFR and RDM (soon to add OTH and LMT as possibilities), SKW is probably just doing what’s easiest. Just look at Octobers pairings in FAT, pretty much ALL 4 day trips. I love flying PDX but I love commutable trips that pay well more and most PDX trips are AM starts.

yuck, fresno. I just like poking fun at the fresno crews, especially when they head off toward Mr. Rainier after being approved for a St. Helens tour. haha. As long as pdx stays open and our lines don't decrease too much then I'm happy. How is the jet treating you?
