wow how dramatic!! I bet even Chuck Norris couldn't commandeer a jetbridge!
I was thining the same thing. They made it sound like this 'TSA Commando' stole a tank or something.

So I don't really pay attention, but aren't most aircraft parked overnight with the jetbridge connected? (if there is one) Therefore you can't close the door. But, the jetbridge is secure. Or do stations move the bridge off, and the door is closed?

I wonder if this TSA guy is going to be reprimanded and fined and/or fired. I'm willing to bet, he won't be.

Fines to American Airlines- $175,000.

Damages and lost revenue due to delayed canceled flights- $500,000 (just a guess)

Doing all this and then being praised as a hero? Priceless.

So we can expect the TSA to start damaging aircraft to cause entry, then just fining the airline due to "security breaches" to cover the cost. That's great news for struggling airlines.

Ya know at some point this stops being funny. The press is portraying this as "whiney airline guilty of mutliple security violations gets upset over damage to a few probes that was their fault anyway". At least according to the "OFFICIALS", cause the "OFFICIALS" know everything right? They are actually putting out full blown Nazi style propaganda it's unbelievable to watch. They are morphing in to the modern day Gestapo completely out of control, Congress needs to reign these people in now.

I was thinking the exact same thing. At first the TSA's little antics were funny. Now they are getting down right scary. What extent are we going to have to go through to secure our aircraft? If they can just break there way in and not be held accountable then there is not extent we go go to that will be enough. The next step is to put a guard in front of the aircraft 24/7. This is getting cray, your reference to the Gestapo is right on, that is exactly what they are turning into. Man I hate them. They need to be put on check and NOW before this get's any further.

First off, a turkey sandwich is not a liquid unless it has mustard on it, or has been put in a blender.

Second, everything is accessible especially when you have the proper credentials.
