FWIW, I spoke to an Eagle pilot about a month ago. He told me attrition is still high. As many as 30 pilots a month are leaving. The person I spoke to said that furloughs may not happen due to high attrition. I'm just passing along what this person said.

I don't know where they are going but even TSA is lowering their furlough number due to people leaving quickly.

nothing good here. boston is closing and displacing something like 300 pilots. JFK is opening as a base. that is going to be a night mare. there was a RUMOR and nothing more than a RUMOR that eagle was going to go to job fairs in september. i don't think that is likely...

Same at Mesaba. Top half of the list is stagnant but many at the bottom realizing they missed the rapid upgrade and looking at lots of reserve and little flying are jumping to other careers outside of flying.

Same thing seems to be happening at 9E...the reduced mins "mentor program" was put on hold...no more upgrades at 2000TT/1500 with the company for now...sorry to those kids who paid 26K thinking they'd be on capt. pay in 2 years.
