I think he's making the case that the current mesa pilots are appeasers, that is why he doesn't care about what happens to them. The latest TA vote kind of proves it because Mesa is still around and has no intention of folding anytime soon despite what was fed to the pilots.

Hawaiian, Republic, and Mesa are fighting a losing war in Hawaii. There is no room for three airlines, and the airline with the deeper pockets will win. We all know that Mesa is not the one with deep pockets unless they win against Delta and Delta has to pay them a big sum of money to get rid of them.

Funny - I just looked up flights b/t HNL-OGG today, and guess who's the 'bottomfeeder':
  • Mokulele Airlines - $44 Caravan????
  • Hawaiian Airlines - $49 haole or local
  • Island Air - $54 better hurry
  • go! - $54 no aloha
