Come on now, have we all run out of anything constructive to do that we have to resort to threads like these. No pun intended, but sounds like gossip to me........

later!

We just hired 3 people. So, that means I'm not at the bottem of the barrel anymore!!! For the love of freeking God, it's about time!!! On a side note, I think it's freeking rediculous that they hired one of the newbie pilots as a Lear 40 pilot. The kid has no Lear experience, and on top of that, myself and 2 other line pilots have been waiting to go to Lear 40 school since we were hired a year ago!!! (At our company, the Lear 40 is an aircraft that you transition to AFTER you're initially typed on the Citation 550)

And, get this! I wish that I would have stayed at my last job! I'd be a Captain...and I'd be making more (dare I say good) money, and actually have a life outside of work!!! My overall QOL would be better. I'm concidering going back to regional flying once a job becomes available. Does that sound backwards or what?!

The grass isn't always greener on the other side boys. Take my word for it!

The news at RAH.... my paycheck still clears. About 1/3 of furloughed pilots called back, with no certain prospects for any other recalls. Attrition is minimal. Welcome to reality, a place where companies cannot grow forever and career progression is something that happens over the course of your career, not an election cycle.

Must be nice... I'd gladly trade you places. At least you have a job. News at my company (well, former company): More displacements, furloughs, early buy outs, maybe another round of furloughs after that (for morale), fleet reductions, concourse closures in base, min staffing, junior manning, high line values, and crusty senior guys picking up open time. Life is good.
