Things change in this biz and there's no use crying over what we have no control over. We're not in the boardrooms making decisions. I just hope that the RAH pilot group fight for a good contract. Much as changed for them since their last 2003 and they need to play catch up.

Mr. meatballs, you are going to stir up all kinds of trouble by listing the E190 ahead of the 717!

If the purchases happened today, that is a pretty accurate assessment of the RAH fleet makeup. In six months, though, those CRJs will be pretty much extinct, and the 717's will be starting to go away. And, if Bedford's public statements bear any fruit, you will see the number of E190's going up to match the decline of 717's. We can hope that the number of new jets surpasses the number of returned aircraft, and that the number of furloughed pilots goes down. Also, there may be the need to add in the Lynx pilots and aircraft to your table...no word from the Reverend yet on his plans with Lynx. Also, Bedford seems to want to do whatever it takes to keep Frontier entirely seperete from the RAH seniority list. He may be planning to sell off 50% of his stake in Frontier immediately so as to not be required to integrate the two companies per the RAH scope. So in the end the total RAH seniority list may be closer to 2500 pilots, with only E 140/145/170/175/190 aircraft, and a few 717's until Boeing takes them all back.

Classic! You will be helpful in rounding up the others to toil in the underground sugar caves.

Actually some legacy carriers have had active pilots on the BOD as part of their contract. DAL comes to mind, but I'm not sure if this is still the case. Helps to balance things out

Maybe in your new contract you could agree to farm out some of the 50 and 70 seat flying in exchange for more money on the bigger airplanes.. maybe through a wholly owned subisidirary with a flow through agreement that would give you furlough protection. If you're going to be a big airline you better start acting like one!

I'm liking it. A regional for RAH. "US Airways Express Connection" What do you think the pay would be like?

I don't know but I want to be the first to sign up for the new wholly owned express carrier. All of you dirty bottom feeding contract carriers had better not try and hone in on our action!

It wouldn't surprise me if the Airbus fleet is replace by E-190s as well.
