What would it be like for someone getting in around December/January? Is that after all the hiring/classes will have taken place for these 115 flows or will it continue into 2014?
Are there many commuters from the west? Colorado or California specifically?

If you end up on the end of the hiring after the pool so december/jan for the flows and such you will be on reserve until the next year when the next round of flows are up to leave. So expect a year of reserve at the least

This is on the dream job list. It's time to game up, I guess. I'll be fighting almost all prior 121 people to get in with the current surplus of pilots. Hopefully American Eagle doesn't go belly up, not only obviously for the employees there but for people like me seeking jobs.

I sense a little "shiny jet syndrome" from your post, so perhaps Republic Airways would be a better option, as they have tons of brand new, beautiful EMB170s on order. You can even fly the EMB190 there!
Good luck!

Not to rain on your parade, but if working for Compass is one of your "dream jobs", you may want to re-evaluate your career ambitions. While I have enjoyed my time at Compass, at the end of the day, it is still a regional airline and full of all the wonderful things that go along with that.

I guess some people have different ambitions in life. I suppose one could be happy with Rosie O'Donnell as their wife if they really really tried to. Of course the reality of it is that relationship would only be a one way street and she may never put out. But if your sunglasses were dark enough and your ear plugs thick enough you could at least tell people you were married and that would remove most doubt about your sexuality that the outside world once held. But if you're looking for quick and easy i think Spears (RaH) or Lohan (GoJet) might put out sooner and satiate that sjs itch quicker.

Don't get down on the guy. As far as places to go to get your career started CP is looking like a pretty good option right about now. He could have said Skywest was his dream job you know.

No regional should ever be a dream job. That is my only point. Back to the thread!

New rumor is that ALPA is in discussions with Transstates and Delta about changing the flow limit from 25% of CP pilots per year to unlimited. If that happens 75% of the compass list could flow in 1.5 years.
