That sounds about right.

210 +/- pilots for AA and then 150+/- flows left.

What about attrition outside of flows? Do you suppose there is any appreciable amount?

During the conference call after the American flying was announced they mentioned an estimated need for 450+ Pilots in the next 18 months for flows, new flying and attrition...right in line w/ what everyone is saying

Apparently so... I applied in February with an ATP, A 170/190 PIC type rating, over 500 hours and current in the airplane and presently employed by a 121 carrier.... No 4 year degree so no call...

With the amount of attrition and potential for rapid seniority advancement relative to any other regional airline Compass is not having problems attracting candidates with similar professional backgrounds AND a bachelor's degree. In time it will likely start to become more difficult to attract these types of applicants but it hasn't reached that point YET.

Latest rumor from a management fellow I bumped into is AA flying will be out of LAX. That's what he/she thinks, anyway.

Truth is they don't know yet. One day it is LGA, the next day LAX, or then it is DFW...

This is the truth. Speculating now is pointless, however fun it may be to waste time on reserve days. Lower-level management knows exactly as much as the rest of us right now.
