The SEA-FAI run is only about 50 more miles than the DTW-MTY run. If there are strong head winds and poor weather at the destination you can pretty much count on a fuel stop somewhere.

Question!! I know this has been posted before but cannot find it. Starting training soon any info or recommendations of hotels with discounted rates in MSP. Which hotels do most people use that will provide shuttle to training?
Thanks for the info!!

The Microtel thats about a mile from the training center you can get for around $50 a night for a single queen but they run out fast. I stayed at the Courtyard that is a few miles away for $60 a night that includes a full breakfast. Sometime the courtyard won't have any crew rooms so you have to reserve well ahead. Another class I knew of had 3 people split a suite (double queen and a pull out) at the Country Inn and Suites.

For those that take this the wrong way, crazyjaydawg is kidding that we will get 4:00 on this one. The flight gets in at 1am and if you layover until the next day for the 2am flight, you will not get the 4 hour min pay for a calendar day with no duty, since your duty touches all the days.
If we open a SEA base, this trip will pay 7:00 for the turn, while under the adtg it would have paid 9:30, since it was over 2 calendar days.

Overall the 4 hour min day is the winner and the MAJORITY of the pilots want it that way. Moooooove on.

It's not beating a dead horse when pilots don't understand how our new provision works. All you accomplish by getting angry at me, when I state the facts, is showing that you guys can't accept that it isn't a 4:00 min day option.
The last thing we need is pilots giving pilots incorrect information on how they will be paid. Your continual lies about how our new provision works is a disservice to all the pilots at this company.
